HeidiSiefkasBicitaxiCienfuegos6.2016With her mantra “Look Up,” Heidi Siefkas is speaking to groups worldwide and inspiring readers everywhere to become the architect of their most fulfilling life. Heidi’s new book, Cubicle to Cuba, teaches us about Cuba, while also motivating us to think outside the cubicle, travel more, and embark on new adventures.

Heidi’s life had taken a dramatic turn after a life-altering accident seven years ago. She was a successful VP in the travel industry, happily married, and keeping up with the Jones in South Florida. During one of her travels to Hudson River Valley, she was taking out the trash when a thousand-pound tree limb struck her, leaving her unconscious with a broken neck. Once healed, she opted to not use her second chance at life to simply rebuild the former life. She decided to architect a new one.

HeidiSiefkasandFusterRoosterHer self-described “Life 2.0” values health, relationships, and freedom. Her newly chosen career of writing and traveling allows more freedom than any cubicle. During her first trip to Cuba five years ago, she committed to a New Year’s resolution about this Life 2.0, not realizing at the time that Cuba would continue to play a major role in it. After nearly thirty trips to Cuba as a tour manager, she has come to realize something interesting. Cuba has helped her create a Life 2.0, while she and the many other travelers to Cuba have helped create a new Cuba 2.0.

CubicletoCubaCoverHighResHeidi’s introspective travelogue covers her transition out of the corporate world and into life on the road in the once-forbidden Cuba. It also tells of adventures in Kauai, Italy, Peru, New Zealand, Australia, and other far-flung places. Cubicle to Cuba is currently available on Amazon.
